A NOTE FOR VOLUNTEERS RAISING FUNDS IN THE UNITED STATES
Policy Statement
Checks collected by the volunteers will be written in favor of “The i-Care Fund America” earmarked to the intended charity. Cash donations are unacceptable. Each donor or volunteer collecting the checks must accurately fill the online “donor advisory form” through the i-Care website or through smart phones applications. Donors making donations through wire transfers or credit cards will also have to fill the online “donor advisory form”. Alternatively, a donor can fill the hard copy “donor advisory form” provided by a volunteer. Acknowledgements will be generated electronically and emailed to the address provided by the donor. Only upon clearance of the payment an electronic receipt is issued.
Guidelines
- All checks have to be written in the name of “The i-Care Fund America” with intended charity and donor e-mail address mentioned at bottom of the check.
- For each donation an online donor advisory form must be filled. This form is available on The i-Care Fund America Fund website (http://www.i-care-america.org/donation-2/?general-donation=1)or through the following smart phones applications:

- Donors opting for matching contributions or salary deductions from their companies should ensure that checks from their companies also make reference to intended charities.
- Checks are to be deposited in the nearest branch of “Bank of America” as under:

- Volunteers depositing more than one check in i-Care’s bank account are to email to i-Care a complete list of donors, amount of donations, email and mailing address of the donors at the earliest for verification.
- However, if volunteers/donors don’t have a Bank of America branch in their vicinity, they can send their donation checks through normal mail service (NOT through priority, special, courier or registered mail) to 139 Charles Street, #348, Boston, MA 02114, USA.
Please note that the donors who send their checks via normal mail, rather than depositing it in our bank account, might receive the acknowledgements and the tax exemption receipts from i-Care with a slight delay.

- On realization of the funds in the bank, an electronic receipt for the donation will be issued to the Donor. All receipts will be sent to the email address provided on the online donor advisory form or on the check.
- The i-care will request the donor to verify the information provided online. If valid email address is not provided then an electronic receipt will be emailed to the volunteer for onward submission to the Donor.
