Aqsa’s Journey from Grief to Empowerment with Moawin Foundation

Meet Aqsa from Nawankot, Sheikhupura

After losing her father, Aqsa’s home was filled with grief and the heavy silence of no income and no support. In a family of seven, stepping out to earn was never an option, especially for a girl.

But hope came stitched into every thread.

When she joined the Dress Making course at the Vocational Training Center in Mehmon Wali, Sheikhupura, Aqsa discovered Moawin Foundation’s Sui Dhaga Center, a safe and empowering space where women could learn skills and work with dignity.

For the first time, her family saw possibility in her hands. They not only supported her training but allowed her to start earning.

Today, Aqsa sews with pride, weaving strength into every stitch and shaping a brighter future for her family.
