Our History
Empowering Youth, Building the Nation:
The Moawin Foundation Story
Founded in 2014, Moawin Foundation is a not-for-profit organization (NPO) registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) under Section 42 of the Companies Act 2017, with Incorporation number, 0090324, and National Tax Number, 4331812-6. It is an approved NPO under Section 2(36) of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001, and has signed an MOU with the Economic Affairs Division of the Government of Pakistan to receive funding from international donors.
Through education, skills development, and vocational training, we aim to ensure quality education and create opportunities to address the issue of economic instability. Our mission is to empower underprivileged and vulnerable segments of society, particularly the burgeoning youth population of Pakistan. We believe that governments schools, with the highest outreach in the country, including Pakistan’s remotest areas, can be a key driver in improving the public education system and enhancing its quality.
Chairman’s
Message
Now that I am retired from active naval service, I feel incumbent upon myself to give back to society. I will make my humble efforts to teach, train and help as many youths as I can. May Allah be with me. (Ameen)
With this intention, my analysis is:
We have a large population which has a sizeable number of youth. Majority of this segment of our society in the rural areas is uneducated. They are either unable to attend school or those who do, do not get adequate education at primary/ secondary level.
Government schools exist in most parts of the country. However, the standard of teaching/ education is generally not very high. It is believed that by making use of the existing infrastructure, improvement can be achieved by supervision and provision of trained teachers.
Need is also felt to impart vocational training to boys and girls so that they develop skills to earn their livelihood. Moawin Foundation endeavors to improve primary/ secondary education and provide opportunities for skill development through vocational training in rural areas.
We consider our activities as a humble effort in Nation Building.

We visited the Moawin Foundation project near Sheikhupura, Pakistan. We were blown away by its scope and impact. Helping Government schools improve the quality of education, with training, supervision, and motivation of teachers is a collaborative effort – with the biggest bang for the buck.
