The Little Girl Saira Who Became Her Family’s Learning Partner

Success Story from GPS Malpur, Taxila

Every evening in a small home in Malpur, Taxila, a meaningful learning moment takes place. A young Grade 5 student, Saira, sits with her mother, holding her notebook and sharing what she has learned in school.

Her mother, a matric pass, listens with pride as Saira explains her lessons, reads stories aloud, and practices new vocabulary with confidence. What once used to be simple homework time has now transformed into a shared learning experience between mother and daughter.

This inspiring journey began when the Moawin Foundation Model School was established in their village under the PSRP program. Like many families in the community, Saira’s parents were committed to providing quality education to their children but were facing the growing burden of private school fees.

When they discovered that the same standard of education was available free of cost within their own community, they made an immediate and life-changing decision—enrolling Saira in the Moawin Foundation Model School and later transferring all their children from private schooling.

With dedicated teachers, a child-friendly learning environment, and strong academic standards, the school quickly nurtured Saira into a confident, curious, and high-achieving student. Every day she returned home excited to share new knowledge with her family.

Over time, something truly remarkable began to happen at home. Instead of only receiving guidance, Saira started actively sharing her classroom learning with her mother—explaining concepts in simple words, reading aloud, and discussing lessons together. This mutual exchange not only strengthened their bond but also created a culture of continuous learning within the household.

For the parents, the transformation has been deeply reassuring. They feel confident that their decision to shift from private schooling was the right one, as their children are now receiving quality education without financial pressure.

Her father shares with pride:

We were paying heavy fees in private schools thinking quality education only comes with cost. Today, our children are getting even better learning for free in our own village. Seeing Saira confidently share her school learning at home makes us very proud.

Encouraged by this positive change, the family has enrolled all their children in the same school and continues to actively support education within their community.

Saira also dreams big for her future. She aspires to become a doctor after completing her education so she can serve the people of her area and contribute to improving lives in her community.

I want to become a doctor so I can help the people of my village and make them healthy and strong,” Saira says with determination.

Today, Saira is not just a student—she is a confident learner, a motivator at home, and a living example of how access to quality education can strengthen families and uplift entire communities.

Because real education doesn’t stop at school—it grows at home.
