UNICEF Pakistan Visits Moawin Foundation’s Climate-Resilient Eco-Friendly School in Taxila


Moawin Foundation was honoured to welcome the UNICEF Pakistan Technical Team, led by Ms. Erum Burki, to GPS Malpur, Taxila, where the Foundation showcased its Climate-Resilient Eco-Friendly School Model.


During the visit, the delegation explored the school’s innovative climate-resilient design, sustainable construction methods, and the use of locally available materials to create safe, inclusive, and resilient learning environments for children. The visit highlighted how environmentally sustainable infrastructure can improve education while strengthening communities’ resilience to climate change.


The visit concluded with productive discussions on opportunities to replicate the Climate-Resilient Eco-Friendly School Model in other parts of Pakistan. Moawin Foundation looks forward to further strengthening its collaboration with UNICEF Pakistan and the Heritage Foundation to promote sustainable, climate-resilient education and ensure every child has access to safe and future-ready learning environments.
